Work note: there is a new person starting at work today, which means their start date is April Fool's Day. I just -- I know that it's a coincidence, and that work was just like 'makes sense to start on a Monday, no one pays attention to April Fools Day anyway.'
AND YET. It also makes me laugh EVERY TIME I think about it.
"Is this job a joke?"
YES, but in the millennial humor kind of way, in that we all understand that at least 50% of the job is pointless posturing on a good day, and yet it's still possible to find genuine humor and care for each other in the most kind-hearted way, regardless of the circumstances.
It's all of those things! We contain multitudes!
