marcicatI try to do yoga most days, since pressing play on an online video is way easier than taking myself to a class somewhere, and yesterday's weather was pretty hot, so I was poking around looking for something that wouldn't be too much exertion.
The first moment that caught my ear was this gem: "Maybe this side feels different from the last. Maybe tomorrow will feel different from today."
The key is to imagine these being said in the MOST CALM voice possible. Excellent radio voice. So that when the instructor said this:
"Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think."
I was nodding along before I thought 'wait, what?' And I started paying more attention, just in case they said something about a dog park or a glow cloud.
None of those things were mentioned, but we did get one more calmly-dispensed proclamation before the end of the video:
"Maybe your heels touch the ground. If they don't, you're still a good person."
And now, the weather.
