back to work!
Sep. 3rd, 2024 07:39 amMost interesting work activity of the day will be an "optional" meeting where someone (presumably someone who assisted with planning next week's mandatory workplace gathering events) will answer questions about said mandatory workplace gathering events.
(Yes, this is the same mandatory workplace gathering that led me to ask about voting accommodations.) Since the advice so far has been FASCINATING, I'm hoping for some real gems to come out of today's meeting.
A brave soul asked at the "non-optional" meeting last week the question we were all wondering: "Which of the events are mandatory?" The CEO hedged in their usual way -- despite verbally inviting questions at practically every opportunity, their body language just as consistently says they absolutely do not want to be answering questions. Anyway, they declined to use the word "mandatory" in their reply, but said, "The expectation is that all of us will be together for all the events."
I CAN'T WAIT TO LEARN MORE.
