Yesterday evening I was working on my current crochet blanket project (which is on the final skein, hooray!) and the cat came as close as she ever has to sitting in my lap. Generally she is an 'I'll sit next to you' cat, or an 'I'll climb onto your chest while you're sleeping if I want you to wake up and pat me' cat. (Both INCREDIBLY adorable!)
But last night she decided she'd had enough of crochet time, apparently, and let me know it was instead cat-patting time by snuggling down on top of the blanket I was working on, right in front of me. My brain was full of AHHHH CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT WANTS PATS I LOVE HER AHHHHH! Which is pretty much what my brain does whenever I see a cat, just multiplied by a lot because she was so close.
So I think a few things can now be said for certain:
*the current blanket is cat-approved
*it's time to prioritize crocheting somewhere the cat can get snuggles at the same time
*AHHHH CAT CAT CAT I LOVE HER!!!
