Today I woke up to the uncomfortable realization that my workplace bears an uncanny resemblance to a sitcom — and not a sitcom that’s new and fresh in its first season, but one that’s like in season six, or something. When they start bringing in new characters to make it more interesting, and pull sweeps week stunts like ‘next week the whole crew goes to Maine and see a moose,’ and suddenly everyone has a dramatic side plot.

I think my workplace may have jumped the shark.

If my work were a sitcom, I would be the person who doesn't realise they're just supporting cast and keeps trying to get involved with the real plots. :D

Those are always everyone's favorite characters, though! (IDK on the side plot thing -- it's always harder to tell when it's your own life, you know?)
