So, I did enjoy watching The Amazing Spiderman (aka THAT NEW SPIDERMAN MOVIE), but my sister and I couldn’t help but notice that there were some things in the preview that just… weren’t there.

Like the whole “500 guys looking for you” thing.

Like the whole “If you want the truth about your parents, come and get it” thing.

Like the whole “Did you really think what happened to you was an accident” thing.

Was The Untold Story Cut From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN? (love the caps and the hyphen, btw) goes through it much more carefully, and it’s an interesting read.

So yeah, I liked the movie, but it was nice to get some backup for my feeling that I’d *expected* a new and different take on Spiderman, and instead got pretty much the same story as usual. And I wish I’d gotten a chance to see that other movie, because it sounds pretty cool.
