Christmas Songs, a retrospective (part 2)
Dec. 24th, 2010 11:00 amOkay, and to balance out the other post, these are some Christmas songs I ::heart:: every time I hear them.
Christmas Songs I Love
1. Put a Little Holiday In Your Heart
(fun to sing, fun to listen to, perfect whether you are excited or cranky about the holiday)
2. Keep Christmas With You (All Through the Year)
(there was a record, when I was little, of Sesame Street Christmas songs, and this was my favorite)
3. We Need a Little Christmas
(Muppets — they make everything better!)
4. Hark the Herald Angels Sing & Carol of the Bells
(just in general, I usually like these, regardless of version)
5. You Make It Feel Like Christmas
(my itunes has decided not to play any songs that *Andrea gave me, but I remember really liking this one!)
Honorable Mention
1. The Carpenters Christmas Collection
(the first Christmas music I had as my very own — still the classic sound of the holiday for me)
2. Rusty Chevrolet
(this one gets a shoutout because my ipod apparently *loves* this song — I think it plays once every ten songs or so, so I’ve heard it a lot this month)
