google says boredanoia isn’t a real word
Jul. 31st, 2012 08:24 pmSometimes I get bored at work, and this boredom sometimes hangs out with my mild paranoia, and together they come up with crazy ideas. Like, what if my boss and/or coworkers are secretly WAY more internet-savvy than they act? I mean, I try to keep my online exploits within the realm of things that I wouldn’t be facepalming about if they ever came up at an annual review, but still. One wonders. (Or at least, I wonder. Maybe it’s no big thing for anyone else?)
Anyway, today my boredanoia settled on flinging out random internet and pop culture references, like “You’ve found my weakness!” (Apparently no Spiderman fans at work — who knew?) I was surprised no one called me on “the road goes ever on and on,” since I figured Tolkein, at least, was multigenerational. (There’s films AND books!)
[Note to self: boredanoia is not nearly so fun to say as frogablog]
