movie review: The Bourne Legacy
Aug. 11th, 2012 01:31 pm1. Timeline-wise, Legacy takes place simultaneously-ish with Ultimatum. Despite the fact that the previews indicate this (sort of), it took me a while to figure this out. To be fair, I was distracted by Aaron Cross: Alaska Adventure.
2. I would have happily paid money to watch two hours of Aaron Cross: Alaska Adventure.
3. Re: wrestling a wolf to the ground and getting it to swallow a pill-sized object. OH NO HE DIDN’T! (Objectively speaking, I get that it was no less realistic than any of the other stuff he did. But I’ve never tried to climb an Alaskan cliff face, so I don’t have a lot of points of reference. I *have* tried to get domesticated dogs and cats to swallow pills.)
4. I’m pretty sure there were more protagonist smiles in this movie than in all three of the earlier movies combined. I loved the conversation in the car. (“You don’t know my name?”)
5. Marta = totes awesome. Very impressive under pressure. (Note: Would make an excellent SHIELD agent!)
6. Post-movie headcanon: Goin’ to find Julia Stiles’ halfway house for recovering hero-spies!
