movie re-watch: The Bourne Ultimatum
Aug. 18th, 2012 08:55 amI watched this entire movie again, mostly just to see this part:
“I’m at 334 Calle Norte. I hear gunfire. And men shouting. I think they’re Americans.”
(Best use of local resources ever, and hilarious to watch the coordinators back home scramble to figure out what was happening.)
Also a little to see continuity between Ultimatum and Legacy, since I hadn’t realized how closely they were connected. (If you assume the guy in Ultimatum was lying when he explained Blackbriar, I think it pretty much works, except that on the news report when they use the photo, the caption says David Webb instead of Jason Bourne. Maybe Aaron was watching a different channel?)
Pretty much the only funny exchange in the movie:
“Where are you now?”
“I’m sitting in my office.”
“I doubt that.”
“And — why would you doubt that?”
“If you were in your office right now we’d be having this conversation face to face.”
-Jason Bourne, Noah Voson
Pretty much the least encouraging thing JB ever said:
“They’re going to come for you again. You’re going to have to run now.”
(to Nicky Parsons, who I still say followed up her experiences in this movie by setting up a halfway house for homeless heroes, because everyone deserves more help than “it gets easier”)
Also, now I kind of want to see Bourne Legacy again.
