random notes from the week

1. Must find outfit that looks nice and like ten times more professional than I usually wear to work. Knew I should have looked harder for nice pants on last shopping trip.

2. Sent coworker to other location for a day. Told them to think of it as a vacation. Wish this worked on everyone.

3. Via hulu: Jeffrey Donovan on the yogurt thing in Burn Notice: “I’m sure there’s some drinking games now, based on whether I eat yogurt in an episode. If there isn’t, start now.”

4. Went to bed at seven pm last night, feel mostly awake today. Very thankful for weekends.

5. starandrea’s having a tumblr party — good practice for anyone not sure what tumblr is, but not wanting to lose face in front of the youngsters! (So far I’ve gotten a pass at work for not being on facebook by calling it a “personal decision,” but that sort of thing will only get you so far…)

White Collar “Forging Bonds”
I expected more — the more that fandom has already provided re: the epic backstory of Neal and Peter and Elizabeth and Kate and Mozzie.

Things I liked: baby Satchmo! (of course!), and Clinton Jones. He rocks.

Fic I liked better: Precious Few Heroes, by OnYourMark
The one where Neal’s really an undercover FBI agent named Elliot Donnelly.

Hawaii Five-0 “E Malama”
What’s not to like? It has running through the jungle, and strong women all talking to each other, and Steve talking Danny down from assault while simultaneously building a jungle trap.

I’ve already linked the ep tag, by gyzym, so how about a shout-out to the Hawaii Five-0 Cliche Meme being hosted by angelgazing. It’s a fun-for-all!
