Movie Review: Megamind

On the whole, Megamind was better than I expected, but not as good as the Inception AU Blast Boxers (by anonymous, on the inception_kinkmeme).

On the other hand, the exchange between Megamind and Metro Man in the observatory was truly hilarious, and my main issue with the movie was that they never went anywhere with all the potential they created.

A Classic Villain – Hero Exchange:

“Over here, old friend. In case you haven’t noticed, you’ve fallen right into my trap.”
(Megamind)

“You can’t trap justice. It’s an idea, a belief.”
(Metro Man)

“Even the most heartfelt belief can be corroded over time.”

“Justice is a non-corrosive metal.”

“But metals can be melted by the heat of revange!”

“It’s *revenge,* and it’s best served cold!”

“But it can be easily reheated in the microwave of evil!”

“Well I think your warranty’s about to expire.”

“Maybe I got an extended warranty!”

“Warranties are invalid, if you don’t use the product for its intended purpose!"

Roxanne plays along with abductions better when she’s having a good day. Also, baking.

Megamind rolled his eyes and stalked over to the door. “I’m going to contact Mr. Goody-Goody, and I’d better not find party hats and streamers when I get back here.”
