WOW THAT IS AWESOME! Now if only it would convert punctuation — I had a boss who used commas in place of periods for an ellipsis. (so things trailed off like this,,,) It was pretty weird.

Full disclosure: I am a customer who asks stupid questions. But two stupids doesn’t make a smart, which is how I know these conversations were low on ‘thinking ahead’ and high on ‘huh?’

CONVERSATION 1 (paraphrased)

Customer: “Based on the zero amount of knowledge I’ve provided you about my acquaintance, who is not here and may in fact be me, and their problem, which I have summarized in four words or less, about how long will it take for this product to be completely effective?”

Me: “…”

CONVERSATION 2 (no, the question was not rhetorical; I paused and everything, just in case)

Customer: “I want a product for my kid. This one looks good.” ::looks directly at me:: “But will he take it?”

Me: “…”

CONVERSATION 3 (with a coworker!)
Me: “Did you get that thing you were asking about?”
Coworker: “No.”
Me: “It’s in your cubby.”
Coworker: “No, it’s not.”
Me: ::points to thing:: “Yes, it is. It’s there.”
Coworker: “That’s not my cubby.”
Me: “…”

WHAT DO YOU EVEN SAY TO THAT? YES, IT IS. IT IS YOUR CUBBY. I KNOW BECAUSE IT HAS YOUR NAME ON IT, INDICATING THAT IT IS YOURS.
