a tale of two touchpads

Preface: My family is AMAZING.

And so: And so I am now the proud mama of a nook tablet in addition to my regular macbook.

When I want the page to go UP on the macbook, I swoosh UP on the touchpad. This makes sense to me.

When I want the page to go DOWN on the nook, I swoosh UP on the screen. This ALSO makes sense to me.

You’d think if I could just remember which device did which, I’d be all set. So far, this is not the case.

(It’s not just up and down, either, but left and right have always been mysterious and strange to me, so I’m not generally surprised when I botch those up.)
