it’s Monday, have an otter!

Full disclosure: I nabbed this pic from someone else’s blog (thanks, sometimesblogged!) because I could not resist the post title (“when in doubt, otters”).

And because of my deeply held belief that all Mondays can be improved by otters.

9 days and counting

1. 9 days until my work-cation!

2. I am a teensy, tiny bit concerned that my coworker / traveling companion may flake out at the last minute. (Said coworker’s track record with said last-minute action is about fifty-fifty. Could be fine?)

3. Our hotel will not have free wireless internet! You know what I say to that? INCONCEIVABLE!

4. I did not realize until TODAY that I am supposed to vote TOMORROW in the primary! (We internet-checked the ballot at dinner; I have my notes ready to go. Seriously, I get in the little booth with the special pen and the seriously oversized paper and my brain just shuts down. I freak out about filling in the oval-shapes correctly; it’s crazy.)

5. Work. Today. Disaster. (But the kind of disaster that comes with being busier than expected, rather than less busy — so, more crazy-making, less horribly depressing.)
