notes from a work-cation!

1. My hotel room had NINE towels in it when I arrived yesterday. Today housekeeping left three more towels hanging on my doorknob while I was away. I am beginning to suspect I am using towels incorrectly. How, exactly, does one go through TWELVE towels in the course of two days? MYSTERY OF THE UNIVERSE

2. I have now attended two education seminars. One of them gave me a booklet of notes that looked like a coloring book. So I got some crayons at the hotel gift shop (Spiderman crayons! They’re awesome!) and colored in it. It was pretty fun, actually. Very relaxing. Eight crayons did not stress me out anywhere near as much as twelve towels.

3. Of course, the big draw at these things is the loot. So far: one hoodie, one t-shirt, one measuring tape (?!), five pens (I gave two away to a booth that couldn’t find anything except a pencil), seven buttons, and four tote bags. The big question: Will my suitcase be large enough to carry all my goodies home with me?
