Somehow, Saturdays always seem to be days with endless potential and very little actual productivity. (As in, I just spent 15 minutes lying on the floor looking out the window, thinking, ‘huh, that tree branch is a lot closer than I thought it was.’)
Goals for the afternoon:
1. stay awake
2. eat lunch
3. wash dishes
[This is why I tend to dread the inevitable post-weekend questioning at work. "So, how was your weekend? Do anything fun?" My answers are always some variation on, "Lovely, thanks, you?" while the more accurate answer would probably be more like, "Just handling a small amount of grown-up type chores like registering my car and doing my laundry is pretty much all I can manage in a two day weekend, but I'm sort of averse to a lot of things that are currently considered to be culturally accepted 'fun' activities anyway, so I'm okay with it. How about you?"]
