movie review: Skyfall

1. I liked it lots more than I thought I would.

2. But I think if I hadn’t read fanfic that explained who all those people were, it would have been very boring.

3. I can definitely see where the urge to write fanfic comes from — the movie reminded me of Inception, in that all these interesting characters and tidbits of story were introduced, but the focus (and resolution) was very tight on essentially a single plot line.

4. Basically, I could have watched a whole second movie of Q and Tanner and Eve and Mallory having late nights exploring the uncharted tunnels without any espionage at all, and been very happy.

5. Although I guess probably Bond would have had to be in the movie too, since he is supposed to be the main character.

6. Lastly, props to Mallory, because the guy jumped over a desk to take a bullet for M. Seriously, dude. That was some quality personality redemption right there.
