marcicat: (snowbirds on a line)

I have been chided by my coworker for not “understanding” that you have to keep your entire potential audience in mind when posting to facebook.

Not kidding. Chided. They even tossed in the Spiderman “with great power” quote.

Luckily, this was via email, so I had plenty of time to a) be pissed off, b) laugh, and c) complain to my family about the youth of today, before working with said coworker again. (That’s tomorrow, oh day of fun.)

It was definitely a ‘you darn kids, get off my lawn’ moment for me. I totally wanted to be all ‘I was posting to the internet while you were still a gleam in your mama’s eye,’ but they’re not actually that much younger than me. Still, I felt old. Older. Crotchety, even.

“Good afternoon. Are you in need of any assistance today, sir?”
“No.”
“I could help you cross the street.”
“No.”
“I could help you cross your yard.”
“No.”
“I could help you cross your porch.”
“No!”

The Care and Feeding of Lost Causes, by maskedfangirl

It’s about Bruce and Clint post-Avengers movie, and what that would look like for two people SHIELD has absolutely no idea what to do with. Just a few of the things I liked:

1. Turning ‘thank you for your cooperation’ into an inside joke.

2. Hand holding.

3. Clint and Natasha, folding Bruce into their friendship.

4. Natasha’s opinions on The Hunger Games.

5. Avengers PR.
