Aug. 21st, 2014 09:50 amMy workplace is doing one of those six-week fitness challenges. and we have finally reached week six. For all my good intentions, I also seem to have reached the point where my knee-jerk reaction to thinking about the challenge is ‘you can’t make me!’ Last night I planned to take 20 minutes in the evening and do something exercise-y — maybe just some stretching, but something I could log for the challenge, at least. Instead, I spent that 20 minutes snacking on chocolate chips and browsing tumblr.
(Interesting aspect of the challenge: it also includes logging your fruit/veg intake, and your water intake. Luckily I drink lots of water anyway, so at least I am contributing in that way. Plus, our team leader craftily selected a ringer to join the team, and he’s pulling the team average way up with his intensive training regimen. STRATEGY.)
