Yesterday, the signs on the highway said:

WINTER
WEATHER
TUES AM

alternating with:

PLAN
AHEAD

Which, okay, I’m still kind of on the fence about the usefulness of said message, but I like it more than ‘HANDS FREE / A BETTER WAY TO BE’ which always makes me think I’m supposed to take my hands off the wheel.

But the thing is, there’s not much you can actually do while driving on the highway to ‘plan ahead.’ So — based on the reaction they got — the signs said this:

BEAT THE SNOW

DRIVE FASTER
