random things that improve my life

We got talking about this (random things we do when the month changes) at work yesterday, so here’s mine. At the start of each month, I change my computer desktop background and my gmail theme, both at home and work.

I find that it’s a fun, free, low-stress way to mark the change of the month. And I’m all about creating my own positive feedback, so when I open up my email and notice the background and think “I like that,” followed by “I chose that,” it’s like a little warm glow of accomplishment.
