movie review: Furious 7

I actually got to see this last weekend, in D-BOX (the seats rumble; it’s fun). Overall, I liked it! At the very least, I’m glad that I saw it.

STUFF I LIKED:

1. Jack. Movie!kids are like kryptonite, what can I say. He was a cutie. (Though I’m not 100% sure why he was going to daycare every day? Since there were a bunch of adults all living in the same house who didn’t seem to have jobs? But that is neither here nor there.)

2. Hobbs. Hobbs’ daughter. Elena.

3. Brian and Letty’s friendship, which was awesome. (And a nice shoutout to the unseen backstory of the 4th movie.)

4. “Actually, it was three buildings.”

5. The entire epilogue scene came across as an in-movie tribute to Paul Walker, and I thought it was nicely done.

THEN THERE WAS SOME OTHER STUFF

I mean, there’s always other stuff, right? But I like the F&F movies because they’re visually spectacular and are usually family-positive. (A basic summary of all the movies: driving very fast – hugging – family picnic.) Which is pretty cool.

So, yeah, that was Furious 7.
