I like this one because it fully acknowledges that the Avengers are a group of sincerely messed up individuals, but at the same time shows that you don’t actually have to be okay to keep going, to do good in the world, to be a good friend, and to experience good things.

(And also because I laughed every time Bucky shared his counselor!wisdom gleaned from bugging Sam’s office.)

What you’re going through right now is real, your pain is real, and comparing it to someone else’s pain doesn’t do anything but keep you from healing the way you should.”

Steve says, “You sound like Sam.”

“I have his office bugged. He’s a really good counselor. I think I’ve learned a lot.”
