workaday Wednesday

I have mixed feelings about work, and careers/vocations/what-do-you-want-to-be-when-you-grow-up/etc. But at this point I feel pretty comfortable saying that my current job is teaching me how to not give the best of myself to my workplace, and I’m glad.

Not that I don’t *do* my best at work, or that I don’t try (oh my god, do I try), but that I don’t have to make work my number one priority All The Time.

Sometimes it seems crazy that it has taken me so long to figure it out, but that’s life, I guess. Still a work in progress.
