Okay, a few reminders for future me, for the next time I decide to go hiking:

1. MORE WARM CLOTHING

2. The combo of garbage bag liner inside the pack and pack cover outside is surprisingly effective.

3. Taking the insoles out of hiking boots that have gotten soaked will make you feel like you’ve done something useful to help them dry.

4. Adults are allowed to do the Junior Naturalist activity book in the AMC hut system.

5. My phone survived just fine in a sandwich bag in my pocket.
