like the original, but more me
Sep. 25th, 2018 05:02 amYesterday my workplace sent out an email titled ‘what’s most important.’ (Not capital letters, clearly.) It was about the six things deemed most important to focus on between now and the end of the year.
Which kind of seemed like a great concept, since we’re heading into the final three months of 2018, except that none of the six things mentioned actually, uh. Mattered. At all. To me, at least.
(Because there’s good stress and bad stress, right? And the six things were all things I have zero control of, or even influence over, so worrying about those things for three months is bad stress.) ((Sometimes we get these missives from above, and all I can think is, ‘wait, isn’t that sort of thing *your* job?’))
ANYWAY! I liked the concept, and I thought it matched well with the idea of doing resolutions in the fall, because resolving to do something for three months seems less intimidating than committing to a whole year. So I’m working on my own list of the six most important things for me between now and the end of the year. But I’m not done yet. Coming soon! Maybe tomorrow!
