pre-Christmas caturday
Dec. 21st, 2019 10:06 amGood things about going to the extended family holiday party:
*Provides excellent motivation to clean my apartment, with zero stress if things don't get done. (The party is not here. The motivation is completely fabricated. And yet, still effective!)
*Hard to keep telling people that I see my extended family once a year if I don't actually see them once a year.
*Gives me something to write this post about.
*Stress about close family holiday get-together feels less stressful in comparison.
*At this point it's become funny how many ways I can find to put off wrapping presents.
*Possibly the first time in weeks I'll be out of my pajamas before noon on a Saturday. (I am not out of them yet, so can't be sure on this one. Also, not entirely convinced this is a good thing.)
*Perfect reason to use the 'Keep Calm It's Only Christmas' icon.
*The food will be good.
*As per the Muppet Christmas Carol, I suppose, on the blessed day of Christmas, one must celebrate those around us, despite our misgivings.
*The rest of Christmas will be way easier after we get through this!
