fic rec Friday
Aug. 14th, 2020 05:36 amI thought that in honor of watching some 'Babysitter's Club' episodes, I should do a BSC fic rec. Okay, mostly because I thought 'ooh, that would be easy, I already read a BSC fic, with the narwhal!'
My memory didn't quite hang on to all the details of this story. For one, it's a Merlin fic (crossover with the BSC? the author calls it a fusion; that works for me). Also, spoiler alert, the narwhal, which is a very tiny part of the story, actually dies. (I'm sorry! I didn't remember! It's not the focus of the story!)
Also, I'm a little embarrassed that after eleven years, I still didn't remember that narwhal doesn't have an 'e' at the end.
You know what I did remember? The narwhal is the unicorn of the ocean.

"The kids want to see the narwhal, Arthur," Mrs. Anhora had declared imperiously. "The narwhal is the unicorn of the ocean, after all—a very special and precious creature."
