“Can you talk to rabbits?” Lan Huan inquires politely.
“I don’t know?” Wei Ying says. And then, “I mean sure, can’t everyone? But do they talk back! That I don’t know. I’ve never tried.”
“They’re magical rabbits,” Lan Zhan says.
“Yes!” Wei Ying exclaims. “They had little glowing ribbons, Lan Zhan, of course they’re magical! And you’re right, my luck does seem better with magical creatures. So I’ll definitely try.”
