marcicat: (badger book)
I spent a lot of the weekend worrying about my dentist appointment (it was yesterday; it went fine), and it was actually weirdly refreshing to worry about something other than work.

But really, why in the world does the dentist try to tell you things after they're done? They definitely said something to me about -- hot and cold sensitivity, maybe? But look: the two minutes directly after strangers have been sticking their hands in my mouth for an hour, with loud noises and bright lights and a not insignificant amount of discomfort, are not the two minutes that I'm at my best. My brain was in full 'don't do anything that might make them keep you here longer' mode; I'm sure I just nodded along.

Also, the dentist's office managed to email and/or text me FIVE TIMES in the run-up to my appointment with reminders. They couldn't send the post-procedure blurb as a text too?
