workaday Wednesday
Apr. 21st, 2021 05:59 amI still haven't actually told anyone at work that I'm moving, which started out as a reasonably logical choice and now is just kind of funny. (The move shouldn't impact my job at all, so it's not like they *need* to know right now.)
Early on, I figured why tell them? Nothing was certain, and it wasn't like I wanted to invite a lot of unasked-for advice or opinions.
And then I didn't want to jinx it, which I feel is a perfectly reasonable explanation.
And now it's reached the stage where it seems like it is definitely going to happen, which is amazing, and I still feel uninterested in the advice or opinions of my coworkers, and I have to admit it would be funny to just suddenly be in a different place on a zoom call one day, and be like, 'oh didn't you know?'
Anyway there is still plenty of time to contemplate this situation.
