I *finally* told someone at work that I'm moving. I felt obligated to remind my boss that I'll be out of work on Friday, and for a few days next week, and my boss felt obligated to be supportive and ask if I was going anywhere.
I hesitated! I considered dissembling! But finally I was like, 'yes, I'll be going to my new house!'
And then later, someone chatted me during a meeting and was all, 'I almost thought you were moving, with those boxes I can see behind you!' But with them I was like, 'mm, haha, I have the camera angled differently, usually you can't see that side of the room.'
Here's the thing: there are still a lot of pictures online of our new place. And my coworkers are involved like that. It's not a dealbreaker for them to all be looking it up and seeing pictures or having commentary on pricing or anything, I'd just prefer they didn't.
(Also I'm not *not* superstitious? There's definitely part of me that's like 'let's not talk about it until it's a done deal.')
