Jul. 26th, 2021 05:55 am*The cat went on the cat tree ALL BY HERSELF yesterday! No treat-based encouragement or anything!
(Cat tree assessment so far: she has largely ignored the hammock, but was willing to walk on it to get to a treat on the other side. She vastly prefers the 'house' with two doors -- she can be in and also out on two sides at once! -- to the single-door nooks on her older cat tree. The platforms of this one have soft sides (as opposed to no sides) and she seems to like them. She has now slept on all three, and I feel unreasonably proud about that achievement.)
*Smoke alarms have been installed! (Haha 'installed.' They're battery-operated, so it was really just me figuring out screwing the base into the ceiling. Still, that's a level of DIY that I wasn't sure I would be able to achieve!)
*It's the last week of July! Which means I get to check the July budget and see if there's any extra little bit that I could use to buy something from the wish list! (There might be? I had originally been planning to take my car to the garage this month for the exhaust work it needs, but that didn't happen. It's now an August problem. But other things happened instead. WE'LL SEE!)
