workaday Tuesday
Jul. 27th, 2021 05:48 amSeveral months ago, a problem was identified, and that problem is (hopefully) in the final stages of being fixed this week. And all the relevant teams know about the problem, in the sense that they were told about it at some point in the last six months, but since no action was immediately required of them, they probably ignored it, or at least forgot about it afterwards.
Which means they may or may not be prepared to be confronted with this problem in a meeting already known or being contentious. But that's definitely a thing that's going to happen this week!
(I asked my boss about it last week, but ultimately there's no way to proceed without bringing it to the group. And even though we're all 'one team' when it's someone else's error, but it's 'our responsibility' when it's our error, this problem was VERY MUCH not our team's fault. It just fell to us to fix it, because, yeah, that's also a thing that happens.)
I tried to give a heads up to the team whose fault it very much was prior to the meeting, but their 'person who attends the meeting' is notorious for not reading emails, so WHO KNOWS. There is absolutely a chance that I am worrying too much about this and everything will be totally fine. (That would be the logical outcome! It shouldn't be a big deal!)
Thursday is going to be SO MUCH FUN.
