walk it off
Aug. 2nd, 2021 05:57 amMonday again... every week! Wild.
*Saturday's adventure: successful! More mosquitoes than hoped for, but a very pretty trail, and a comfortable breeze for much of the walk. Had an adequate amount of water and snacks. Sort of got lost once, in that on the way back I took a side trail thinking it was the one that led to the parking area, and it was not. (Both trails were pretty close to the road, so I wasn't worried about getting lost-lost.)
*Sunday's adventure: pretty successful. Even though I KNOW that I will get hungry and thirsty after an hour of walking, somehow I still have times when I go out and don't bring food or water. (It's not like I was in the forest; I could have stopped along the way and purchased food or water. This was definitely a 'choices were made' situation and not a 'there was no option except to keep going' situation.) I do like going around town and hearing music playing from various places. Very nice! Also sort of got lost following an 'unofficial' trail that I legitimately thought was the actual trail (for a while); still not lost-lost since it was a VERY small trail system and I could see the opposite side of the river the whole time.
This morning: more walking! My work is doing a six-week 'virtual marathon' challenge, and we now have less than two weeks to go. (Thank goodness! It's been fun, but also a LOT.)
(I will try very hard not to get even sort of lost this morning, though.)
