May. 31st, 2022 06:12 am*It's back-to-work day, boo. BUT! It's also takeout and Star Trek day, yay!
*Stumbled over a Hawaii 5-0 fic last night, enjoyed it, was reminded of my hilarious recurring problem with H50 fics that mention Hesse (A Very Serious Villain, if I'm remembering it right). EVERY TIME I see the name, it instantly unlocks the Hess Truck jingle ear worm. ("The Hess Truck's back and it's better than ever!")
*Today's high temp has been and gone while I was sleeping. (It was leftover heat from yesterday.) Looks like it should be steadily dropping throughout the day, which always feels super weird but is also very welcome. Looking forward to a nice cool night tonight.
*(Nice cool night = in the 50s(F), don't need a fan but also don't need socks, blankets feel cozy but it's not freezing if they slip off.)
*Sending my gratitude to the Neem Leaf & Aloe Gel and also the After Sun Balm that have been my shins' staunch companions since the Sunday kayak adventure. My sunburn is looking and feeling much better!
