caturday is home improvement day!
Aug. 20th, 2022 06:53 amI often pick some sort of extra daily goal for the month, because I enjoy achieving things but get stressed out if I feel like I have to do something forever. (And I often stop partway through the month, but I always figure doing something for 10 or 15 days is still better than not doing it, right?)
Anyway, at the start of August I had zero interest in doing anything fitness-related, and lots of interest in rearranging furniture, and it's been over a year since our move, so there were a lot of potential little adjustments/improvements that I'd been considering but never quite got around to doing. So I made "try rearranging one thing" my August daily goal, and it's been hilarious trying to achieve it, but also very fun!
Today's project was moving the carbon monoxide detector, which expanded to include taking down a legacy light from the previous owners that we've never used. I couldn't find the screws that came with the detector (if indeed there were any), but the random hardware I've been "storing" (aka tossing in and ignoring) in the toolbox contained a winning pair. Success!
