Grappling with another fic for battleship. Why do I always forget how hard it is to make the characters talk about their feelings???

In other news, the cat spent last night exploring the new furniture arrangement, which includes having her tallest cat tree right next to the bed. If you can imagine a 15 pound cat leaping directly onto your shins from several feet up -- that was me last night!
