This spring/summer/fall (20 weeks covers a bunch of seasons in New Hampshire, unless it’s the other half of the year, in which case it’s just winter) my workplace is teaming up with a local farm.

The person who does my job on their end is named Amy (or so I’m told). We’ve never met — I don’t even think we’ve spoken on the phone more than once, way back at the beginning. Instead it’s weekly emails that we write to other people and copy each other on, and notes back and forth on a shared spreadsheet.

(The best part is that I’m pretty sure I communicate more — and more effectively — with Amy than with at least fifty percent of my actual coworkers.)
