lucky coincidence

I forgot to bring a pen to the educational dinner talk tonight. Mostly I was planning to doodle the six random things I can draw (star, cup, sun, flower, cube, seagull) and possibly write down some notes for my fic.

I was feeling kind of bad about the pen thing, since I figure visibly demonstrating possession of a writing utensil makes it look like at least I was *thinking* about taking notes. But then the only line I actually came up with was “Killing you will send the appropriate message,” and the seats were probably too close together for me to be jotting things like that down in full view of my neighbors.

All in all, good call by the universe!
