Everything felt sort of weird at work yesterday. Not bad, exactly. Just — like everyone was awkward with each other. In an attempt to convince myself that it’s not just me, here are some other potential reasons I came up with.

1. One person who’s been away just got back. (Apparently he wasn’t on vacation, as I’d assumed, but was doing something work-related. For two and a half weeks. IDK.)

2. It was hot outside, our first day over 80F this year. (Creating a pretty significant divide between the upstairs team and the basement team. None of us have AC, but it was really, really cool in the basement, and not so much upstairs.)

3. We’re team-building on Wednesday. (We’re going to a paint bar? T-minus 36 hours, or something like that.)

4. It’s a full moon on Wednesday. (I’m perfectly willing to put some blame on astronomical factors.)

5. One member of the team *is* on vacation. She’s pretty level-headed, as far as I can tell, and maybe she’s usually a mellowing influence.

6. It’s just me.
