advice I’ve ignored

One piece of advice I’ve read many times about moving is to not move anything you should really just get rid of. If you don’t actually want that old t-shirt, or stack of novels, or school project, or whatever, just toss it, instead of moving it and then tossing it.

Conceptually, I find this to be awesome advice.

Having said that, I have resolved to completely ignore it. I am one of those people who gets on a cleaning kick and decides *everything* can be thrown away. It’s not good. And it makes the moving advice a bit precarious. I was worried I might start out boxing things up and wind up at the point of ‘who needs a bed?’

I on the other hand will think of a practical use for almost anything and not throw it out. You'd think that's just silly, when will you need an orange skirt with poka dots? Well if I actually do throw something out, without fail, within a month I need it.
