marcicat | today’s drive

So… today I was driving to work, as one does, and I was thinking some *thoughts* about a presentation done by some important person in the company yesterday. (He has a title I don’t know, but I have been told he is Important with a capital I.)

And I was getting pretty angry, and when I looked down at my speedometer I thought ‘whoa, ease up there, Top Gun.’ Looked around and only saw one vehicle, in the other lane a ways back. ‘Phew,’ I thought. ‘Good thing there’s no cops here right now!’

Well, I’m sure you can guess the punchline. The car in the other lane catches up to me; it’s a state trooper. (Me: ‘Gah! Okay, act normal!’) But! The trooper’s car pulled in front of me, then exited.

(I stared after it suspiciously, but apparently it was not a trap.)
