why so cranky, technology?
Nov. 12th, 2014 11:02 amOut of the blue, as far as I can tell, my new phone suddenly stopped connecting to wifi last night. It SAID it was connected, and yet… evidence suggested otherwise. No weather, no messaging, no emails. No internet, in other words.
DISASTER! (Okay, no, not really. But irritating!)
The seller assured me that the benefit of the iphone 5 was that EVERYTHING you could possibly mess up or need to do with it was already explained online. And so, a bit of googling later, this is what I found, and this is what I did, and I shall spread it far and wide:

::quoted from mobg888::
#1: Click “Settings” on the home page of your iPhone or iPad
#2: Scroll down and tap on “Safari”
#3: You’ll now be looking at the settings of your Safari browser > go down to the “Clear History” and “Clear Cookies and Data” section and tap on both of those settings to clear everything out (one at a time please!).
Now turn your iPhone or iPad off completely to reboot

This did require me learning how to turn of the phone completely (hold the power button down a while!). But it did work, as far as I can tell, and has continued to work for… um, about 10 minutes now? More updates will follow if needed.
