marcicat | update: de-waspinating 2015

Well, I used the scary wasp spray Sunday evening, after psyching myself up for two days. Since then it’s actually been cooler and rainier, with sun mostly while I’ve been at work. So I’m not entirely sure whether it’s worked or not.

But I think it has? I haven’t seen any wasps, and neither nest seems to be getting any bigger, and I figure those are both good signs.

Now, of course, I’m left with a can of poison, so that’s no fun, but I sealed it up in a plastic bag and put it way in the back of the cleaning supplies cupboard.

(I considered putting a notice up on the bulletin board by the mailboxes, to see if anyone else in the building wanted to use it. But there’s a tiny possibility that de-waspinating is one of those things I was supposed to call the landlord about instead of doing myself. And also a tiny possibility that my neighbors might get upset that I sprayed poison around without telling them ahead of time. So I thought, maybe not.)
