marcicatOne thing I never expected about becoming an apartment-dweller was becoming a thermostat-watcher. I am now a thermostat hawk — what’s it doing now? What about now? How ’bout now?
It is utterly baffling to me how much variation in comfort there is in the single ten degree range between 68F and 78F. In the winter, the thermostat read 68F and I wore socks and slippers and sweaters and bundled up under a blanket and thought, ‘This is the best!’
Yesterday the thermostat read 78F, and I lay out on the tile floor of the kitchen in my shorts and t-shirt, and thought, ‘I now feel marginally cooler, yay!’
It has occurred to me that my thermostat and my brain-o-stat are not exactly synced up.
