‘Twas the “I ::heart:: you” heard ’round the internets, for realsies. (Thank you, Danny Williams. You and Steve and all your Five-0 pals make Mondays fun.)

Since the “Steve ‘n Danny show” aspect of the ep has been well-documented by everyone already, I’d like to highlight another side of Steve: his bizarro-world packing technique.

Here’s what I consider day hike essentials for my backpack: water, snacks, rain jacket, fleece jacket, cell phone, first aid kit.

And here’s the Steve McGarrett backpack essentials: rope, chalk, knife, packing tape.

What? It’s not even like he was just *really prepared.* He was gonna be out of luck if he or Danny got thirsty, or if there was a brisk wind up on the ridge, but man was he set up for impromptu rock climbing, boar fighting, or shipping a flat-rate box.
