marcicat | Tuesday triumph

Okay, this was more like a Sunday triumph, but I’m posting it on Tuesday? And it’s a small thing, but I figure it’s good to celebrate those little victories.

So: there I was, on Sunday, trying to sort out my fall/winter clothes, and realizing I have SO MANY socks. And I don’t really have a bureau so much as some bookshelves that have been repurposed to hold clothes. (Which works great, btw! But does benefit from a certain level of tidiness to the clothes, which I never bothered with when they were invisibly tucked inside drawers.)

And I thought: I could go purchase another basket for my socks! Except that would require 1) going somewhere; and 2) purchasing something. Both things I was feeling a little ‘eh, not so much’ about. However, the one thing I have LOTS of (though not so many as I do socks) is tote bags!

So I took a heavy canvas tote bag (with a flat bottom) and I just folded the sides down all around it. (Then I tucked some cardboard in the long sides for extra stability.) And then I stuffed all my socks in it!

PERFECT SOCK TOTE IS PERFECT!
