It was a swing and a miss at yesterday’s 20,000 goal mark, but there’s another chance on Sunday: 25,000.

Also, for anyone who (like me) is trying to get in some words at work, the two best options I’ve found:

1. write an email to yourself. if you work allows emailing, your email browser won’t raise any red flags for people who happen to glance at your screen as they walk by. downside — if it’s a company email and your story isn’t work appropriate, this may not be an A+ idea.

2. Writer: the internet typewriter — it provides a running word count, and can be adjusted (background and text color) to whatever looks most innocuous for your office. No pictures, no ads.
